Do you know the Keeper of Thy Gems? She and her posse of glimmering gals rocked the hizzy at Picador. Despite the technical difficulties with Leslie's mic, the show was a blast. The only point where the show started to lag is when Leslie invited some ladies onto the stage and named their sweaters- and almost knocking out the teeth of one of the gals in the process (yikes!). And of course, that part would have been so much better had I been invited onto stage in my hand made bedazzled shirt (see final picture), but oh well.
so today, my free internet connection, which one day miraculously just grabbed hold of my wifi, has now decided to go away. very odd. it left as suddenly as it came. so now i'm stuck using this other sloooow connection (although it is also free). so my updates may not be so frequent on this blog because of this. the connection cuts out randomly and pages take forever to load. it is like using dial up- if you can recall such archaic days of old.
anywho, if you haven't seen it on Youtube yet, check out Alanis Morissette's version of "My Humps." she's doing a dig on it and from what i've been able to watch of it so far (see previous rant on shitty internet connection) it is a well placed dig. then go google yourself some Leslie Hall, if you want to be truly happy.
made a wing stencil tonite and tried it out on a back of a shirt. it got a bit gloopy and the design doesn't look as cool as i had hoped. but you know, trial runs. you live, you learn, you make a better stencil.
alright, that's all for now. with any luck, i'll get this to actually post.
toodles,

i'm at Caffeine Dreams, trying to get some energy from some black tea. we'll see what happens. it is only 2:20 and i already feel like taking a nap. maybe i'll do that a little later.
so Leslie Hall put on an amazing show. Better than I had imagined. It was spiritual. Sadly it wasn't very long- I think about 40 minutes. maybe a tiny bit longer. but she blew the crowd away. if you've not seen/heard her, i strongly recommend checking her out on youtube. or at her website: http://www.leslieandthelys.com anyway, i bought her lastest cd, "Door Man's Daughter." kick ass!
so i will be meeting up some friends tonite- some artists that I knew from the Hot Shops here in Omaha, and of course, Medusa Project. should be nice to catch up. i will definitely need a nap. maybe i'll time to visit another artist friend at Adventures in Art before tonite. we'll see.
last night, i had a dream about floods caused from global warming last night. right up until the end, people would not give up their cars, their conveniences even though they knew that it was directly contributing to the impending doom. the addiction to convenience was stronger than their ability or desire to see reality. pretty scary.
Kman out
so going to see this Goddess of the Intergalatic Love Gems...tonite!
